Quilled Card

My first post on the blog; After being enthused by an article in my local daily, I tried my hand at quilling and here's my first attempt at it.
Fundamental shapes of quilling such as the marquise, teardrop and the curved marquise form the basis of design in this card.

I used the teardrop shape to create the flowers and the marquises for the leaves.

The entire design was crafted using 1/8 inch or 3mm strips of quilling paper.
A single flower consists five quilled teardrops while the buds have two quilled teardrops each.

Sequins at the center of each flower finish the look.
